We started Best Walking Feet because we’re obsessed with shoes and shoe shopping. We love helping people find the right shoes for their feet, and after helping numerous friends with shoes we decided it was time to help the world through the power of the internet.
We cover lots of different shoe topics here, including running shoes, walking shoes, basketball shoes, and shoes for foot conditions like heel pain and plantar fasciitis.
Product research is done through experience with many shoes and reading thousands of reviews online about all different types of shoes. We have a pretty serious selection process for the shoes where we go in-depth into the good, the bad, and the ugly of each shoe before we recommend it here.
Our editorial lead Andy Walker, an award-winning (former) journalist, is an avid runner who has completed several marathons (as well as half marathons and 5k and 10k races). His favorite was the Niagara Falls International Marathon where he earn a PR he is very proud of. He currently runs on Asics GT 2000 13 running shoes because he has wide feet and suffers from overpronation. Curses!
Dan Lovell is a running coach based in Buffalo, New York. He like to run on Nike shoes and has been known to swap to Saucony footwear sometimes. He offers running coach recommendations on his work on this site. He logged his best PR at the Mount Lemmon Marathon in Tuscon, AZ. Shoe enthusiast Theresa Sullivan studied writing in college and worked her way through school as a store manager of a local branch of a popular national shoe retailer. She wrote a large body of work for us on this site but has since moved on. Our additional contributors are also all runners and/or shoe enthusiasts themselves.
We’re happy you came to the site. Hang out, read lots of reviews, and then decide which shoes are best for you.
