Updated Sept. 25, 2026: The 2026 running shoe calendar is now a release tracker rather than a preview. Most of the major spring and summer models are already available, while several fall shoes have either just launched or now have confirmed dates. This page is the current Best Walking Feet source for 2026 running-shoe releases; our earlier preview has been archived.

Recent updates include the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 5, released Sept. 22, and the On Cloudsurfer 3, announced Sept. 15 with specialist retail availability beginning Oct. 1. Saucony has now announced the Endorphin Speed 6 for Oct. 15. We distinguish confirmed launches from predictions so you can tell whether it makes sense to buy the current model or wait.

The calendar below tracks major U.S. road-running releases, links to Best Walking Feet reviews where we have them, and keeps unconfirmed models clearly separated from shoes with official launch information.

Later-year dates still need caution. We label a date as confirmed only when a brand or reliable on-sale listing supports it. Predictions based only on past product cycles are marked unconfirmed rather than presented as scheduled launches.

2026 running shoe release calendar

The table focuses on significant U.S. road-running releases rather than every new trail shoe, budget model, or colorway. The review column refers to reviews published by Best Walking Feet. Amazon links open search results because prices and inventory can vary by size, width, and color.

What changed during the first half of 2026

One of the biggest developments has been the number of entirely new models introduced alongside familiar annual updates. The Nike Structure Plus, Brooks Glycerin Flex, Saucony Endorphin Azura, adidas Hyperboost Edge, and Hoka Clifton Pro do not have simple one-for-one predecessors.

That distinction matters when comparing shoes. A new name does not necessarily mean it is the next version of a model a runner already owns. The Structure Plus, for example, expands Nike’s stability lineup rather than directly replacing a numbered Structure model. The Clifton Pro adds a faster option to Hoka’s Clifton family without replacing the Clifton 11.

The more conventional updates are easier to follow. The Nimbus 28 replaces the Nimbus 27, the 1080v15 follows the 1080v14, and the Ghost 18 succeeds the Ghost 17. Runners who already know that a particular model works for them can compare the new version with discounted inventory from the previous generation.

Older models frequently enter clearance or markdown cycles when their replacements arrive. The old and new versions may remain available at the same time, which can make the previous model the better purchase when the update is limited or the fit has not changed substantially.

What is still coming in 2026

September’s releases have now landed: the adidas Adizero Adios Pro 5 arrived Sept. 22, and the On Cloudsurfer 3 was announced Sept. 15 with specialist retail availability from Oct. 1. Next on the calendar is the Saucony Endorphin Speed 6 on Oct. 15, alongside the Nike Alphafly 4 and New Balance 880v16, both expected in October. The Hoka Skyflow 2 remains unconfirmed by Hoka.

The final major releases currently on the schedule are the Nike Vomero 19 in November and Brooks Adrenaline GTS 27 in December. These are estimated windows rather than firm retail dates, and any of them could move into a later month or even early 2027.

Release-date and availability note

Release dates refer to U.S. availability whenever a U.S. date could be established. Some launches begin through specialty running stores or a brand’s website before reaching Amazon and other major retailers. Nike, for example, released the Structure Plus through specialty stores before its wider retail launch.

Amazon inventory may therefore lag behind a shoe’s official release date. Search results should also be checked carefully for older versions, marketplace sellers, and listings that use the upcoming model’s name before stock is actually available.
